Panel 1

They're in the command center in uniform save their helmets. Gabriel is chilling in an office chair.

Gabriel: i called you here to name the murderer.

Emma: ... what?

Gabriel: *sigh* 

Panel 2

He's pacing now.

Gabriel: we've been training you for close to two months now. The first attack usually takes place within six months of the seal's release. It could happen today, tomorrow, or months from now.

Panel 3:

Anna raises her hand, Gabriel points at her.

Gabriel: you don't need to raise your hand, anna. Go ahead, ask your question.

Panel 4:

Anna: you said this happens over and over, in a never ending cycle. Why?

Gabriel: you want the truth? The horrible truth?

They all nod.

Panel 6

Gabriel: without evil, without temptation, No one could attain what you call heaven. God would be forever alone. He cannot descend to your existence. He can barely understand your existence in fact. He created us to bridge the divide but even we cannot adequately explain to him. So he bade his closest to study humanity and create the necessary catalyst. The war for your souls is real. He took away your immortality to create souls. So you can ascend to his plane of existence.
